space-blog-image-1First 'walk' in space - Alexei Leonov Now it might seem that America was just sitting back and letting someone else take all the glory, but in a similar period of time (the 1960s), they developed the first solar powered satellites; the first communications, satnav, and weather satellites; they also reached Mars first (USSR reached Venus a few year beforehand) and carried out the first orbital rendezvous and docking.  There are a lot of firsts when it comes to space travel, Associated Environmental Systems works along side innovative aerospace companies to create resilient and long lasting materials to survive the harsh space atmosphere.
