QUANTUM-FD
Floor
The QUANTUM-FD model is a high-performance version of AES' popular floor-style models, designed specifically to meet the needs of modern server testing. Built with direct input from one of the largest players in the industry, this chamber offers advanced airflow control, enhanced cooling efficiency, and a durable, user-friendly design.
STRUCTURE. Engineered for convenience and durability, the QUANTUM-FD features a floorless design, making it easy to roll server racks in and out for seamless testing. Constructed from #4 finish 304 stainless steel, the interior ensures longevity, easy cleaning, and resistance to corrosion. Large multi-pane viewing windows and LED lighting provide excellent visibility of the device under test (DUT). For safety, an interior emergency egress handle allows quick exit in case of an emergency.
The internal workspace is lined with type 304 stainless steel for a vapor-tight internal construction. The heated low-profile floor has a ramp that is ideal for easily wheeling two computer/server racks into the workspace. Between the two layers is highly-efficient, low k-factor, thermal insulation.
PERFORMANCE. This chamber is specifically designed to support the front-to-back airflow required for server testing. The adjustable airflow system enables precise control over static pressure, allowing engineers to evaluate its impact on systems. A parallel coil design delivers more uniform cooling, ensuring consistent environmental conditions throughout the workspace. The air drier system increases uptime and reduces moisture levels inside the chamber, providing an optimal test environment for sensitive electronics. The chamber also features a variable frequency drive (VFD) for fan speed control, allowing greater flexibility in airflow management. Large heated access ports enable interaction with the DUT without requiring additional side equipment.
Three cable access ports on each side, have a six-inch diameter on the left and right side walls and are centered front to back and spread equidistance top to bottom.
COOLING & HEATING. QUANTUM-FDL test chambers are equipped with open several nichrome heaters spread over both sides for reliable and accurate temperature control within ±0.5°C.The QUANTUM-FD test chamber is equipped with nichrome heaters spread across both sides, ensuring reliable and precise temperature control within ±0.5°C. The cooling system consists of a self-contained mechanical refrigeration system with a cascade configuration and a water-cooled condenser. For even faster pull-down rates, boost cooling with liquid LN2 or CO2 is available—an excellent option for stress testing that requires rapid cooling. Even without boost cooling, AES’ standard cascade refrigeration systems provide the fastest change rates in the industry.
INSTRUMENTATION. QUANTUM-FD Series Test Chambers incorporate AESONE CONNECT, a robust connected device that provides a standard and uniform interface, simplifying operation and test monitoring.

*Rise and pull-down rates calculated using IEC 60068-3-5 standard. Custom options available.
*Ideal ambient temperature conditions for test chambers is 23°C (73.4°F). The temperature and humidity range of assured performance is between 15°C and 25°C (59°F/77°F) and 30-50% relative humidity. Conditions outside this range may affect the performance of your test chamber and reduce the lifespan of the equipment.
Notice for California Customers (SB1206):
For test chambers shipped to California, please consult our sales team regarding the use of R449A refrigerant (where applicable). This substitution ensures compliance with SB1206 regulations.
