Why does my test chamber not have a temperature pull up?

The lack of a temperature pull up could be caused by a defective temperature controller, heat switch, or relay; a burnt-out heater, or a broken heater connection.

Check these possible causes and solutions if there is NO power to the heater:

The test chamber has no power.
      SOLUTION: Check the fuse or circuit breaker for the line.
The temperature controller is defective.
      SOLUTION: Replace the defective controller.
The heat switch is defective.
      SOLUTION: Replace the defective heat switch.
The relay is defective. This occurs only with models that have relays.
      SOLUTION: Replace the defective relay.
The heater connection is loose or the heater is defective.
      SOLUTION: Check the connection to the heater, or replace the defective heater.
The heat link is open.
      SOLUTION: Replace the heat link. Do not attempt to repair it, and do not short out the heat link.

 

Check these possible causes and solutions if there IS power to the heater:

The heater connection is broken.
      SOLUTION: Fix the connection.
The heater has burned out.
      SOLUTION: Replace the burned-out heater.
