AES Recaps The Battery Show and Pack Expo International 2026

Written by Nicole Cardarelli | October 22, 2026

October brought two major industry events for Associated Environmental Systems (AES), with opportunities to showcase new testing solutions, connect with industry professionals, and demonstrate how environmental testing supports product development across multiple industries.

At The Battery Show North America in Detroit, AES partnered with MACCOR to debut its integrated FUSION battery testing systems and received the Battery Management System (BMS) Innovation of the Year award. The following week, AES headed to PACK EXPO International in Chicago to connect with packaging professionals and highlight the role of environmental testing in product and package durability.

AES and MACCOR Take Center Stage at The Battery Show

The Battery Show North America brought battery manufacturers, engineers, researchers, and technology leaders together in Detroit from October 12–15. This year's event marked an important milestone for AES, as the company joined MACCOR for its first combined booth presence, bringing integrated battery testing solutions directly to attendees.

Together, the companies showcased FUSION, an integrated testing solution that combines AES environmental test chambers with MACCOR battery cyclers. The system brings environmental conditioning and battery charge and discharge testing together in a coordinated setup, helping research and development teams evaluate battery performance under controlled temperature conditions.

By combining AES chamber technology with MACCOR's battery testing expertise, FUSION offers laboratories a streamlined approach to battery testing, supported by two specialists in their respective fields.

Introducing the FUSION Coin Cell Testing System

A key highlight of the show was the in-person debut of the FUSION-08-192-0192, a 192-channel coin cell testing system designed for high-throughput battery research.

The system supports up to 192 coin cells, with each channel delivering up to 1 A of current. With 5 µA current resolution and a response time of less than 100 microseconds, the platform is designed to support precise, high-throughput testing for battery research and development.

The FUSION coin cell system brings together AES environmental control and MACCOR battery cycling capabilities in one integrated solution, giving researchers the ability to evaluate multiple cells under consistent, controlled test conditions.

Attendees had the opportunity to see the system in person and speak with AES and MACCOR representatives about their battery testing requirements and applications.

FUSION Wins BMS Innovation of the Year

A major highlight of The Battery Show was FUSION receiving the Battery Management System (BMS) Innovation of the Year award at the 2026 Battery Show Awards.

The award recognizes innovative battery management systems that advance battery safety, performance, reliability, efficiency, diagnostics, or lifetime. FUSION brings together AES environmental test chambers and MACCOR battery cyclers in an integrated solution designed to support controlled battery testing and research and development.

By combining environmental control with battery cycling capabilities, FUSION gives laboratories a coordinated approach to evaluating battery performance under specific temperature conditions. This recognition highlights the value of collaboration in developing integrated testing solutions for the evolving needs of the battery industry.

Thank you to everyone who visited our booths and connected with our team at the show. We’re proud to share this recognition with MACCOR and look forward to continuing to advance battery testing solutions together.

AES Brings Environmental Testing to PACK EXPO International

Following The Battery Show, AES exhibited at PACK EXPO International in Chicago from October 18–21. The event brought together packaging and processing professionals from a wide range of industries to explore technologies and solutions for manufacturing, packaging, and product handling.

At booth LL-9916, AES highlighted its walk-in environmental test chambers and their role in evaluating products and packages under controlled temperature and humidity conditions.

Environmental testing can help manufacturers assess how products and packaging respond to environmental conditions encountered during storage, distribution, and transportation. For research and quality teams, these tests provide valuable insight into product durability and performance before products reach the market.

AES walk-in systems can be configured to accommodate larger products, palletized loads, and testing setups that require additional space. Our team works with customers to determine the right chamber configuration for their products, test requirements, and facility.

PACK EXPO provided an opportunity to introduce AES environmental testing solutions to packaging professionals and discuss how controlled testing can support product development and quality assurance.

Supporting the Next Generation of Testing

From battery research and development to packaging durability, environmental testing plays an important role in understanding how products perform under controlled conditions.

This October, AES connected with industry professionals across both markets, introduced an integrated battery testing solution with MACCOR, and celebrated industry recognition for FUSION.

We thank everyone who connected with our team at The Battery Show and PACK EXPO. We look forward to continuing these conversations and helping laboratories and manufacturers find environmental testing solutions built around their applications.
