Associated Environmental Systems was back in action this month in Orlando, FL, for the 2025 International Battery Seminar from March 18-20. Known as the world's longest-running annual battery industry event, this premier event offers battery test industries a global stage to announce developments and products and showcase the most advanced battery technologies. This year, AES’s very own Nicholas DiCeglie, Account Executive, Sales, made his speaking debut. On Day One, he presented Increasing Success and Safety in Battery Testing on the Battery Safety Track.
AES’s battery test chambers are designed to accommodate your lab space and bring your products to market. At the 2025 International Battery Seminar, we showed attendees the powerful capabilities of our chambers, highlighting their advanced safety features and engineering. Across all industries, we serve test chambers that are reliable and built to last.
The SD-501 Series offers a slim design. It has the smallest footprint of any chamber on the market, allowing it to fit perfectly in a standard 19” rack, which offers three times the testing volume in the same footprint. The SD-501 chamber can be optimized for battery testing and integrate with battery fixtures, including the ATPFLEX. The ATPFLEX allows any chamber to become a battery testing chamber, with the option to test from two to six cells, regardless of the manufacturer.
Nothing excited the team more than unveiling AES’s newest extension of the ATP series, the ATPHEAVY Cassette. The Cassette is designed to offer high-density testing in larger chambers, currently supporting 2 channels per cassette, with a max current of 300 amps per channel. This innovative system redefines high-current battery testing with its fixed-shelf design and removable cassettes. Unlike traditional sliding shelves, the ATPHEAVY Cassette allows users to handle individual cassettes easily through injector latches on the base. These latches provide force to eject and insert the cassettes back into the base. Cabling is fixed within the chamber, significantly reducing cable length compared to traditional setups, where cables are wired throughout the fixture.
Attendees of the battery conference were able to learn more about its advanced features, such as silver-plated bus bars and contacts for excellent conductivity and thermocouples positioned at the front of the Cassette for easy accessibility and safety compliance. The setup of this system improves airflow for optimal thermal performance, which is particularly critical in high-power applications. Compatible with 18 and 48-cubic-foot performance model chambers, the ATPHEAVY Cassette offers another quality option for high-current battery testing by prioritizing fixed connections and streamlined workflows, empowering users to achieve faster, safer, and more reliable results.
