AES displayed its patent-pending battery test chambers and fixtures at the 39th Annual International Battery Seminar. In addition, the company also presented lean manufacturing principles and 6S methodology as they pertain to battery testing.
At the Battery Show North America 2022, Associated Environmental Systems displayed its brand new SC-512-SAFE chamber, equipped with an ATPHEAVY ADAPTABLE fixture, and patented ATPPRIME battery testing fixture.
AES offers different battery test fixtures based on cell size, type, and your requirements. So which is right for you? Find out more information on each in this explainer.
Lean manufacturing and 5S principles have grown in popularity across industries. These methods prioritize optimization, efficiency, and safety—vital characteristics for effective battery testing, research, and development. AES has taken into account lean manufacturing and 5S, with an added sixth "s" for safety, in designing its patent-pending ATP series of fixtures.
As companies strive to produce longer-lasting, faster-charging batteries, they require equipment that enables them to conduct safe and efficient testing. Battery test chambers must include features to promote the safety of users. AES developed AES SAFE for this purpose.
Researchers have created designs that lighten the battery load in EVs while increasing performance. As the physical design of the battery evolves, so does the way we test them. Associated Environmental Systems has developed ATPHEAVY battery fixtures to accommodate large format batteries and high-density testing.
