AES Thermal Shock Chamber

The SM series thermal shock chamber makes it possible to rapidly transfer your device back and forth repeatedly between hot and cold temperatures.  Achieving the most strenuous military standards for defense and aeronautic industries. With two compartments, the device under test transfers between -84° C and 220° C flawlessly in seconds by a pneumatic elevator.

The device remains in a protective basket, so there is no need to transfer materials from one test chamber to another saving time and energy, and gaining increased efficiencies in test profile time, workflow, and people.  The cascade, air-cooled, mechanical-refrigeration, conditioning unit has a 5 minute recovery time and is powerful enough to meet all mil specs required. And the electric nichrome ceramic core heating system ensures rapid heating and precise accuracy with a long reliable life and virtually no down-time.

Thermal Shock Chambers are primarily used by technology, aerospace, aviation, and automotive industries to test the ability of components and parts to maintain their integrity in extreme temperature changes.  Really any material that is subjected to fast temperature changes should be tested to ensure durability, reliability, and expected lifespan.

Associated Environmental Systems is proud to engineer and manufacture test chambers in-house while raising the bar with meeting industry MIL-SPECs.

SM series meets MIL standards:

MIL-STD-202G, MIL-STD-883G, MIL-STD-883K and MIL-STD-202H

MIL-STD, also referred to as MIL-SPEC or MilSpecs, are defense standards issued by the United States Department of Defense to support standardization objectives. Standardization guarantees products meet certain requirements and reliability while improving technical competency, increasing revenue and supporting design procedures.
